ANANDA DANSA, 40 YEARS OF CREATIONS
ÂTMAN, EL COMIAT is an artistic, compassionate and poetic reflection on that love that generates violence, even skewing the lives of those you love.
Synopsis
Ananda Dansa, the longest-standing contemporary Valencian dance
company that has received the most awards throughout her career,
has decided to put an end to her artistic life. And what better
farewell for a committed and progressive company than to reflect on
his last show about death and celebrate, at the same time, a song
to life. From darkness to light.
Death is that of those women who lose their lives every year at the hands of their partners, before the terrified and helpless eyes of their own children, the worst witnesses. Some children have also become victims. Children who, when they have not been sacrificed with their mothers, must live with this trauma.
Life is that of women and children who have escaped violence, and who must make a great effort to overcome memories. Because the physical traces of abuse may be diluted over time, but the traces in the soul are much harder to erase.
And there we all are, to reach out. And among all overcome, learn to overcome, the difficulties and try to get out of them to be free and start again. Being able to create a little optimism and make it grow; recover, although it seems impossible, the joy of living. To be alive.
Desire peace and love, calm. To propose a change of life, looking at the future with hope. Deciding what we part with, what part of our life we give up. How can we move away from us - from us - fear and anger, how to dispel the darkness of painful memories. And that is something we can only do when we are able to name what has happened to us.
Ananda Dansa has built this tribute on traditional Valencian music passed through the filter of contemporaneity, and supported by poems by Vicent Andrés Estellés and in our cant d’estil. We wanted it to also be a tribute to the city where we were born artistically and that has seen us grow and develop, and from which we now say goodbye: Valencia.

Les Arts is a space for meetings, for socialization. For the public who loves performing arts, the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía offers different catering and catering services by Gourmet Catering & Spaces.
