Hip-hop choreographer Mourad Merzouki, author of the semi-staged version of The Fairy Queen recently performed by Les Arts Florissants and William Christie at Palau de les Arts, created Cartes Blanches to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his company Käfig. The choreography portrays the artistic personality of six of the best dancers who have passed through this young and renowned ensemble. Movements full of vitality, in perfect harmony with the music of the French composer of Moroccan origin Armand Amar, offer a human show, full of humour and poetry, which exalts hip-hop in a journey through all the styles that have marked its history.
