Ekaterina Semenchuk is one of today's most revered mezzo-sopranos. Covent Garden, La Scala, the Metropolitan Opera and the Paris and Vienna operas compete for her each season. A great artist, her powerful voice and admirable technique have made her an outstanding specialist in dramatic roles. She left an indelible mark on Les Arts with memorable performances as Azucena in Il trovatore, Preciosilla in La forza del destino and the first Lady Macbeth of her career. Once again in Valencia, this time as a renowned chamber song performer, the Russian diva will show off her musicality on a trip that brings together representative Russian composers such as Glinka and Mussorgsky.
