EXTRAS GIANNI SCHICCHI
We need extras for the production of Giacomo Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, which Palau de les Arts will prepare from March to May 2025.
Extras are meant to recreate the atmosphere or the scene to contribute to make it more real. They are not meant to speak. Even though, extras may be asked to help to create noise, to shout or mutter.
We need / Roles:
- Special Role (Buoso Donati): We need 1 man who is 1,60 m to 1,70 m in height, 40 to 65 years old, and who is also thin and nimble. It is required to have a feeling for music, look smart and to have experience on stage.
Candidates must fill in the form on our web page and send a zip file by WeTransfer (https://wetransfer.com/) including their biography, 2-3 portrait pictures and full body pictures, as well as the video containing the required actions (maximum 1 minute).
Required Actions for the Video:
- Say your name loud and clear. You are walking on the street and, all of a sudden, you don’t feel well. You have a heart attack and you fall on the ground in agony.
The casting will be done online using only the material sent by the candidates.
Extra-community candidates need to have a valid work permit and residence.
Candidates need to have full availability and to be over 18 years old.
The deadline to send the application and the material is 13 February 2025.
The list of the registered people will be published on 14 February 2025.
On 17 February 2025, the name of the selected person will be published. (Conditions and final dates will be communicated by e-mail to the selected people).
The rehearsal dates are: 27, 28, 31 March, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 22 and 23 April 2025.
The performance dates are 25 (7:30 pm), 27 (6:00 pm), 30 (7:30 pm) April, 2 (7:30 pm) and 4 (6:00 pm) May 2025.
