EXTRAS GIANNI SCHICCHI
We need extras for the production of Giacomo Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, which Palau de les Arts will prepare from March to May 2025.
Extras are meant to recreate the atmosphere or the scene to contribute to make it more real. They are not meant to speak. Even though, extras may be asked to help to create noise, to shout or mutter.
We need / Roles:
- Special Role (rol: Buoso Donati): We need 1 man who is 1,60 m to 1,75 m in height, 60 to 75 years old, and who is also thin, nimble and of elderly appearance. It is required to have a feeling for music, look smart and to have experience on stage.
- Roles:
- We need 5 men (rol: doctors and security guards) 18 to 65 years old, some of them need to be musclebound. It is required to have a feeling for music and to have experience on stage.
- We need 2 women (rol: nurses) of indifferent height and constitution, 18 to 65 years old. It is required to have a feeling for music and to have experience on stage.
Candidates must fill in the form on our web page and send a zip file by WeTransfer (https://wetransfer.com/) including their biography, 1 portrait picture and 1 full body picture. They will attend the casting on 24 March 2025 in the morning (the place and hour of the casting will be communicated to the preselected candidates).
Extra-community candidates need to have a valid work permit and residence.
Candidates need to have full availability and to be over 18 years old.
The deadline to send the application and the material is 16 March 2025.
The list of the registered-admitted people will be published on 21 March 2025.
Tha casting will take place on 24 March 2025, in the morning, at Palau de les Arts. (The exact place and hour will be communicated to the preselected candidates).
The rehearsal dates are: 27, 28, 31 March, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 22 and 23 April 2025 (to be confirmed).
The performance dates are 25 (7:30 pm), 27 (6:00 pm), 30 (7:30 pm) April, 2 (7:30 pm) and 4 (6:00 pm) May 2025.
