Joyce DiDonato can win over
audiences of all kinds with her dazzling singing. She has been
described as the most dynamic singer of her generation. Possessed
of a "24-carat gold" voice, she enjoys international acclaim in
operas by Handel, Mozart, Rossini and Donizetti, as her extensive
and acclaimed discography attests. She is performing for the third
time at Les Arts, following her concert with Il Pomo d'Oro
orchestra and an unforgettable recital consisting of Schubert's
Winterreise cycle. This time, the charismatic mezzo-soprano from
Kansas is accompanied on piano by Craig Terry, performing songs by
Debussy, Alma Mahler, Copland and Heggie.
