Cantaora, singer, composer and guitarist, for Mayte Martín,
“flamenco is my origin, not my yoke”; and with this premise as her
guiding motto, she delves into different genres with her
overwhelming artistic personality. Once again, her presence at Les
Arts, with the project “Flamenco íntimo”, is grounds for high
expectations and a meeting point for flamenco fans. Mayte explores
her memories and activates the resources of evocation. She looks
inside herself to find in silence the imprint of the voices of
characters hidden in the cloak of history. She unravels the past
and discovers the sumptuous inheritance left to her by the great
masters of other times in order to establish a moving
appreciation.
