David Antich, recorder soloist and conductor, is the driving force
behind the fresh new project Mediterrània Consort, dedicated to the
pre-19th Century repertoire. It is a group made up of musicians
well-known for the performance of early and Baroque music. Their
versions combine artistic rigour with Mediterranean passion. In
this musical evening of pieces by Scarlatti, Sarri, Mancini and
Zipoli, the group is joined by the voice of the Valencian Aurora
Peña, an outstanding soprano on the Baroque and Classical music
scene in Spain.
