The Baroque once more brings together Les Arts and the Church of
San Nicolás, arousing great expectations in view of the excellent
artistic results of the first concert held in this beautiful
church, dubbed the “Valencian Sistine Chapel”. The crystalline and
expressive voice of the versatile Catalan soprano Núria Rial, whose
singing we have already enjoyed in past cycles accompanied by the
Accademia del Piacere or La Ritirata, will project up to the
dazzling vault decorated with late 17th-Century frescoes,
accompanied on guitar by Josep Maria Martí and on violoncello by
Mercedes Ruiz, in a selection of Spanish, English, German and
Italian songs and arias from the 17th and 18th Centuries.
